Basic AttentionBAT#155

Basic Attention Token is an Ethereum-based ad exchange platform that aims to address inefficiency and fraud in digital advertising. The ERC-20 token launched in May 2017 via ICO, raising approximately $35M USD in under 30 seconds. BAT works by creating a direct payment channel where advertisers compensate publishers and users for attention, removing intermediaries from the transaction. The platform uses attention measurement systems, analytics dashboards, and machine learning to accurately value user attention within the network. Rather than relying on opaque third-party data brokers, BAT tokenizes attention as a measurable asset that participants can trade directly. Publishers receive BAT for hosting ads, users earn tokens for their engagement, and advertisers pay in BAT to reach audiences—each party's contribution gets priced transparently on-chain.
